Welcome Back / Embarking on Module 3

Following the Skype session on Saturday 19^th January I am really looking forward to getting started on Module 3 and carrying out the data collection process. It was lovely to have both Helen and Adesola on the call to clarify a couple of alterations with Uni Hub and to welcome newcomers to the course. We were also introduced to Lesley who is the librarian and she showed use through sharing Adesola’s screen exactly how to benefit from the library as a distance learner. This was extremely beneficial for myself as I did not know we could request books prior to the Skype call.

I appreciate the new format on Uni Hub as now it seems as though everything is in one place and ready to begin the new term. I have had a read through of the handbook several times and am aware of the module expectations. This has been particularly helpful and has aided me to organise my time more accurately and efficiently. I have also been able to diarise the Skype calls and ensure I am able to attend all of the Module 3 sessions and Tuesday Discussion Groups. During Module 2 I found the discussion groups extremely useful as I was able to communicate with my peers and share opinions / views on certain topics. It is also a great idea to have people from all modules together as we are able to support and guide each other with various amounts of course knowledge and also suggest additional thought processes.
